1 mile run and then later another mile.
5.5 miles on the elliptical yesterday then a chest workout.
Did another 3 miles on the treadmill today. First 2 miles were at a 6:30 pace and the last mile was at a 7:15 pace. Hope I can carry over these times when it is warm enough to move outside! It was only warm enough for 1 run outside so far this year. Tomorrow the high is 29 and low is 7 degrees. Weatherman says we may set record lows tonight and tomorrow night! Average high for this time of year is low 50's - wishing for that kind of weather right now!
5 mile ruck 45#
What pack and wieght are you using?
Goruck GR0 weight is a 21# paver for the memorial day event and "mission critical gear" to make it 30# plus water and food.
3 miles... on the mill again.
3.3 miles yesterday
Finally nice enough to get outside today!!! Did a 3 mile run and averaged 7:05 minute miles. In my opinion it is much tougher running outside on than on the treadmill. On the down side again they are calling for more snow again this weekend here and for temperatures to drop again...
Ran another 5miles on elliptical. It definitely wins convenience factor for me, but damn I kinda feel like a hamster on a wheel lol.
When I started at this gym 2 months ago I weighed 263# at 6'2" and was hating that I let myself gain that much body fat, usually I've stayed around a lean 230 most of my adult life which is my goal to get back to now. Within the first few weeks of running on the elliptical and weight training I dropped 15# then gained back 7# in muscle mass and have stayed there at 255# while I've been losing body fat at the same time I've gained more lean muscle back. Weight today was 245#, so it seems I'm back in the direction I wanna be on finally and the mass gains may have plateaued with the weight training routines I've been doing. I'd even be happier if I can drop into the he 220's before I'd get into the state police academy, I figure at my age going in leanest possible will be an advantage where bodily wear n tear are concerned.
2.5 miles with the wife.
Ran 5.75 miles
I am an on and off again runner. I rode my bike about 80 miles per week Last summer and am starting up again. I gained about 10 lbs over the winter and have been trying unsuccessfully to get back to 200 lbs. I am also 6’2”. I want to be in good shape when I hit 60 next January. My wife enrolled us in kick boxing. I look like Fred Sanford when trying to do a roundhouse kick!
Law Enforcement Academies used to be heavy into running, usually with a test on it at the end. Many have cut down to only running 3 miles a day.
Ran to the John twice this eveningmust've been the andouile sausage with onions and mustard I had for lunch
8.7 mile ruck with 42#
5.5 mi Friday on the elliptical and 5.5 again today. Hiked a few this weekend while swinging a chainsaw cutting shooting lane's.
