If anyone wants to go see him (they are very competitive price wise) or just support him at the new job (hey Shane, some weirdo is here asking for a folding Ruckus, made in the USA, for not much money. In bright colors. He's building a fire in the upper parking area. Has put up a hammock and the Pandora guys across the street are complaining that he might have taken some "fat wood" from behind their building (???).)It's a good dealership. Down the road is a great Hispanic restaurant with the best quesadillas in Georgia. Only recently did they put some of their menu in English. Ride up to the empty, closed Cabelas parking lot to eat. Then go in any direction to find fun roads. If you go north Knivesshipfree is there.

There are two kind of Harley riders, lol. They've seen SOA and Roadhogs or they're dangerous. Still more realistic than this Yellowstone crap people watch.

Oh trust me, I live amongst hundreds of HA motorcycle club riders , they are my neighbours, customers when I’m trucking. Solid people .

    but yes dangerous.

you forget I grew up amongst HA near the Robert Pickton Farm and I attended the parties there……

Ignore the above drunk posting (except the last sentence). I know several Harley owners who just ride and are good people. I should not drink and post. I probably shouldn't do either separately, but I'm not there yet.

My experience in the late 80's. I hung out with a few right out of the service but decided they had no honor. They beat on "their women" regular and expected them to do what told. One of them shot the other in the head with a 22 pistol, the helmet saved him as the bullet didn't break through the bone, extra thick I'm sure. Now that alone didn't spook me off, don't mess with another guys women, easy enough. What made me run was 3 months later I walk in a room and see shooter and the shot enjoying a left hand cigarette together while laughing and joking about the incident, out the door I went and never looked back.

All good. Different experiences globally I guess.

I helped a HA that had a tire blowout on a rural remote BC Hwy. Plugged the tire, inflated with my PowerTank air and he was on his way.

bout a year later I was i was driving north up the Fraser Canyon, stopped at Boston Bar to refuel . About 20 HA rolled up the fuel station to refuel their bikes. Same biker saw my rig and came up to me, thanking me for tire assistance a while back. Offered to pay for refueling of all my diesel jerry cans as well buy beer and a couple pizzas for me to take on my route.

    Your milage might differ .

    shrug

I rolled up on a HA bike convoy in the Fraser Valley on Hwy 1.

maintained a good distance on the back of the convoy and kept other motorists from getting too close to them .

rolled into Hope BC and the riders in the back of the pack waved and gave me thumbs up.

    Never had issuers with them.

Even the biker gangs are more polite in Canada. :p

Hell's Angels never really existed around here. The remains of a few outlaw clubs are still hanging around.

Now the fact that you can and do tear it down to the point seen in that picture makes me think the oil is only part of getting all those miles....I mean kilometers ;)

true - refreshed (rings / bearings /lifters/ seals ) three times since 1990. Still,…. One of the cleanest engines I’ve ever seen , and I credit that to Redline oil.

last tear down was at the 1,000,000 km mark . Running 15,000 km oil drain intervals on this truck (oil filter every 5000 KM’s, oil drain every 15,000)

90% sustained highway runs, 10% city driving

also that picture is nothing more than removing 10 bolts , lifting the valve cover off to replace the cover gasket. Two minute job.
