I bought a pair of Levi Jeans today.

I can remember when you could only get Levis at a department store.

But i found out the W-Mart now carries them...

Not sure what to think about that....

Walmart has been carrying Levi's signature series or something like that for probably 10 years. They weren't the same as department store Levi's. I switched to Wrangler, Walmart sells them too. Wrangler sponsors rodeos and stuff, Levi's supports liberal causes. Walmart mostly has relaxed and regular fit, I like a straight leg, boot cut.

I was looking at the Wranglers but they were either the heavy duty work style or they had "active/ every day style" but they didn't have the 2nd type in my size...

But the Levis did have a relaxed fit / boot cut pair that were not pre holed or pre yellowed/ dirty looking like the other Non Wrangler jeans they carry.

They don't have a great selection of pants. I like flat front, straight leg chinos , but they can be hard to find too. I've been buying stretchy Wrangler irregular pants from Rose's for $10. When I was younger all I would wear were $40 Levi's.

That also means it's closer to 400hp than 800.

I’ll have to talk to the mechanic. The cylinder sleeves have been bored out, and . I’m just going by the the dyno results the shop had after they rebuilt it. It’s not factory anymore .

the little 26,750 GVW Peterbilt tandems we have with Cummins are pushing 400 HP. This block on the WS is double the size

You replace the sleeves, not bore them. Boring doesn't increase the power much, injectors, pumps, turbos and programming do.

Lots of upgrades went into that tractor. Bored out sleeves (they are 1/2” thick new) , upgraded injectors, upgraded injector pump, higher pressure on the fuel rail / injectors, and they did fuel mapping , programming, plus full emissions delete,, straight pipe exhaust, and the company is running full synthetic ester based 15W40 oil in all their trucks.

we got two western star highway tractors , both with roll off systems. The other one is running a big Cummins block , it’s been modified as well . Plus that one is rated at 49,500 GVW, so I can haul the 10,000 to 20,000 KG scrap metal loads we get .

best part is…. Both trucks are now mine to drive at work . I’m one of only two truckers in the company , aside from the yard boss , that can drive the standards and loads that heavy.

It doesn't work like that on those engines. The block is counter bored for the sleeve to fit and seal properly. You can only get 1 size of piston for that engine. What you are describing just isn't done.

Well I disagree. As does the engine machine shop, Western Star Canada , Cat Diesel , our truck shop heavy duty mechanic, and Cullens Diesel , amongst many other diesel specialists my company uses .

I seriously don’t know what your agenda is, but I’m getting ******* pissed off right now. Who the hell are you to tell me what’s in my truck , engine wise?

this engine block came out of a massive heavy haul truck . It got placed into a smaller truck, the Western Star I now have , rated at 49,500 GVW .

I don’t give a good ******* what you think ,, I acknowledge your mechanic skills, but you need to seriously lay off right now.

it’s not a factory spec block. Put that in your pie hole and shut it. The liners have been bored out . They were 1/2” thick before being bored out. It has a marine spec camshaft, an extremely high pressure fuel pump from a bigger Cat engine, , bigger injectors, higher fuel PSI , mapped programming, full emissions delete ,,straight pipe exhaust.

You got a problem with what the engine builder / diesel mechanic did to this engine, TAKE IT UP WITH THEM!

I’m enjoying 800 Hp / 1900 plus pounds of torque , while hauling my customers heavy bin loads.

No longer posting here. Sick of this **** wagging / questioning everything .

don’t like the engine specs? Call the ******* engine builder / heavy duty mechanic locally and bitch at them .

Tell him there’s only 1 size piston for this block

    Are you on crack?
