:DThere is definitely something to be said for a well tuned edge, regardless of thickness. For me honestly, I just don't like carrying the extra weight. As with a lot of gear though, YMMV.

I'd like to see a puukko. ⅛" stock and a Scandinavian grind. Dunno if anyone has suggested this in the 40+ pages. Probably wouldn't be much different from the RB3, though.

Two things I've thought of this week, neither being practical so I'm just dreaming:

    1. An izula 3. Same basic blade dimensions only about an inch longer, and about another half inch on the handle. Yeah, yeah, I know...an Esee 3. But I want the same ergonomics of the Izula2.

    2. And now for my fantasy...stag handles for the hm series. Especially the 4hm and 6hm.

I'd actually been kicking the same IZULA idea around for the past week. I love lightweight backpacking, and was thinking an Izula with a 3 inch blade and and Izula II length handle would be an awesome light weight option that's still long enough for "emergencies". I backpacked with the regular Izula 800+ miles. And as much as I appreciated the weight, a little more length would have made it awesome!

The jg3 comes pretty close to your first request. Not exact, but nearly.

I've looked at the jg3, and there's something about it that doesn't appeal to me. Maybe if I got my hands on one. I guess if I didn't like it I could find someone to take it.

I hesitated for a while because of the curve in the handle. I really ended up liking it though.

I've got a cold steel smachet. They are a useful tool around here in the spring when briars start climbing fences.

ESEE limited edition Ford F-150 4x4, Blacked out, 5.0 V8. Skull logos. T/A Radial mud tires, winch and IZULA ANT seats. When you buy one, you get a Gibson Axe! Of course a Tacoma would be my second pick, same color as the Ford.

A PR5. Same handle and scales as the PR4, same everything except 1 inch longer blade. Laser strike is kinda sorta that, but that black oxide, no choil, sharpened spine, and 1/8 stock with the 5 inch blade would be awesome.
