Used my saw the other day and was immediately taken back to fake blood and trying to mimic an arterial bleed. It did make me put my TQ more accessible.

Scheduled to go to Egypt in March. Depends upon how the finances recover after that trip....and the body. Those kind of trips usually take the zip out of my step for a few weeks.

You should try weaving in some beard hair, may give you the tensile strength your looking for.

Just buy 3mm Dyneema and be done with it. No twisting with your fingers and plenty of tensile strength.

I agree. Although the leather strap i used for bowdrill gripped the spindle better than any cord ive used thus far. Also, trying to get a feel for worse case scenario and work on skills for the class.

I broke my leather bowdrill strap last time out. Have not tried with foraged material. That is another level of difficulty.
