ESEE 4 Mystery Steel Pass Around----all spots taken

    We need your help on a unique project. We have 3 ESEE4 knives that are NOT 1095 and we want to do a our own version of the Pepsi Challenge.


    Here is how this works:

    1. You get all 3 knives (labeled 1,2, & 3)

    2. You get 7 days to evaluate the knives as you see fit...Use, maintenance, feather sticks, batoning, etc... (NOT a destruction test....a USE test)

    3. Before you ship the knife you get to chose 2 pieces of SWAG from the box.
    (Knives are NOT SWAG, all 3 must ship to next person in line)

    4. Contact next person in line for address and Ship directly to them priority mail.

    5. Respond in this thread with photos and honest observations of your experience. We need some effort here...good photos and some honest observations are MUCH appreciated.

    ***Let’s keep the CONUS right now to avoid costly shipping. ***

    If I wouldn’t have just recently had my rotator cuff rebuilt I would love to be in but I can’t be out beating on knives right now unfortunately but I’m anxious to see the results!

    This is just something we're playing around with so use it like you would any knife. Interested in edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance, etc. I can assure you it's harder than our regular knives so it's probably not as tough, but who knows, thus the reason for the pass-around.

    I'd be down if there's room. I'm also curious if there's any particular contexts of use that should be given extra emphasis when it comes to assessing them. I find that typically makes a big difference when it comes to suitability of a material. Also, keep the factory edge angle, or is bringing the edge down to usual personal preference acceptable? I typically run about 12-15° per side.
