Use them as you see fit. The whole reasoning behind this is for the user to decide if it's worth pursuing.

Count me in if allowed! This sounds like it'll be a blast. Plus, sharpening mystery steel is always fun.

I would prefer to keep it close to the factory edge as that is how everyone gets it initially...the idea here is to do a pass around and let everyone see it as close to factory form as possible...

I purposely didn't set out criteria bc I wanted people to use the knife in the way they would normally USE it ........sharpen it with the same method as you do your other ESEE Knives....(within reason)

Oh damn, I would totally be down for this if not for my geographic location. Absolutely love blind steel testing, it's really the only way to be completely unbiased with your results.

Looking forward to seeing the results y'all come up with.

Maybe I could go dead last and try it both ways, then? If you'd still rather I not thin it out, that's fine, too, but to give really honest feedback about how I'd actually use it, it's gonna' involve taking the edge down to what I consider an optimum angle, and going last would allow me to do that without it affecting any of the other testers. :)

I'd love to be included in this. Could I post videos of the testing on my YouTube channel?

You have 13 names @ 7 days, plus shipping, call it 4 months at this point.
How long will this be kept open?

No problem at all....just embed the video in this thread.

I'm going to let it run a bit longer....as long as there is interest I'm good with letting it ride out a ways.

Gonna keep it CONUS for now just to keep things moving...thanks for the offer.

With this many folks using them a week each, I hope each person has good sharpening skills, otherwise these knives will have no performance after the first few folks that have poor sharpening skills.

I’ll do my review on how it works as a butter knife.

No offense @shaneadams90 , buts that CODSWALLOP!

Literally 10 million plus knife users up here......ranging from LEO/SWAT/Military/SAR, outside workers, hunters, trappers, anglers, land researchers, marine researchers, scientists, hikers, outdoorsmen/women and knife collectors too. Just to NAME A FEW of the demographics up here that BUY and USE knives. We even pay TRIPLE what you guys pay for knives down there, but we still BUY.......

seems a little unfair that one of the biggest knife markets north of the US Border gets CONSTANTLY IGNORED BY EVERY KNIFEMAKER COMPANY OUT THERE. We have $$$$, we use knives....we use knives in real environments a little harsher than south of the CAN/US border.

don't ignore us. We are a huge market and OUR OPINION COUNTS too. (me personally, I have more knives than i use , so i could care less about getting a blade to try out.....BUT....there are highly skilled knife users here like @Reno Lewis and others that can review and test knives. And their opinions are highly respected in the knife community. )

if this gets me banned , so be it.

SOMEONE HAD TO SAY IT OUT LOUD FINALLY.

@Bushman5 -- the reason he's limiting it to CONUS is because testers are shouldering the cost of shipping it to the next tester. Not because the opinions of Canadian users aren't valued.
