Well, can't go wrong for a Black Friday deal of $170 CAD / Prime 2 day shipping...for the diesel parking heater It's going into my Suzuki Sidekick 4x4, which hasn't been used in a few years, it's just sitting and mildewing / molding inside , getting soaked in the interior due to moisture/condensation. this unit can be hard mounted inside the truck , or I can use it as a portable heater (think hot tent!!! Unit will sit out side the tent, and the hot air hose will be inside the tent. All night screaming hot heat on a few liters of diesel) (The 'Zuki 4x4 rig needs engine oil crank seals / cam seals / timing belt / water pump / etc work, it's on the long list of stuff to do)
Just ordered this off Amazon. It’s about the weapons used in James Bond, and the pics are the actual weapons featured in the movies not just the same models. It was a little pricey but I couldn’t help myself.
Heavy duty dual usage food storage containers. I've looked at the WATERBRICK stacking food/water containers, I really like that concept but they are consistently sold out up here in Canada and are pretty pricy up here. (I still plan to buy in 2023, I'm going to order a set of 30 tan WaterBricks , hopefully from the local distributor) instead I bought 4 X 10L and 1 X 20L Scepter Military water jugs from the fine crew at DS Tactical locally. Got a bro deal too, $25 off . $170 with all the taxes up here for all 5 jugs. Will be buying more as funds permit Brand new HDPE food / water grade storage. Stackable, easily portable and can be used for food or water. now I can hit up the ethnic markets and buy bulk beans, rice, lentils, etc for WAY less than the supermarket prices. Couple heavy duty oxygen absorbers in each jug, plus a nitrogen purge to kill any "VAP" (Value Added Protein aka insects) in the bagged food. the smaller grains like rice , lentils etc can be easily poured out of the water spout lid. @Twoody88 @anrkst6973
My bro said I needed a 22 inch Blackstone grill for Christmas. well..it’s been out of the box 4 minutes. Time for work! Fajitas for 5. Comin right up.
I dig the sheeit outta that idea, especially being from rice and beans central down here! I’ll have to get a few of those to do that with since I’ve got the extra storage space these days.
get yourself a cheap clear plastic measurement cup that you keep hanging there to either dip out/fill a counter container, or to measure out the amount you normally cook at a time. In older eras that round looking scoop we now call an ice scoop was used for this but I don’t know where those can be found anymore.
I remember those from a few decades ago. Bulk bins where you scooped things sold by weight into paper bags. They don’t seen to exist anymore rather using a chute type dispenser where they are rarely found at all. Health/hygiene concerns would be my guess. edit: I showed the goddess a bulk bin scoop and she said “bartenders ice scoop” . A search term to start with anyway.
Decided to buy a new chest rig for hunting. I have been using a HPG Med Recon Kit Bag for a few years, its nice but not quite what I want. I decided to go with a Haley Strategic D3CRM Micro. The pocket arrangement is a little more tailored to what I am wanting. The large pouch is made to hold rifle or pistol mags , or with some modification other items like range finder, radio, gps, pistol or combo of these. It is also slightly smaller footprint.
Well, they are not cheap (esp with the USD- CAD exchange and hefty duties) , but the Guardian Angle Devices wearable safety lights have saved my butt MULTIPLE times DAILY in my trucking job. I already have 2 ELITE lights (2020 versions) that I wear both daily on my safety vest. I upgraded to the 2022 ELITE lights a few days ago, 2 in yellow/green colour (extremely visible at night and the day to the human eye) as well GA was gifting a free Micro light for every ELITE purchased . So I got a solid green and a full on military infrared marker (for free) GA shipped via DHL, it was here in 2 days. got stung by CBSA for taxes on the value of the lights ($375 CAD) so these cost $430 CAD after exchange , duties . I consider that cheap life insurance , considering these lights save my life every day they still have a buy an Elite, get a Micro free thank you offer going on if anyone is looking for extremely high end safety lights for ANY activity or work
Who doens't like firemaking goodies?? Got a new firepiston in today A little bit heavy but it works well.
