Memorial Day hike with my daughter to Mt. Si, https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/mount-si
It's about 3100' in almost four miles to a high point at just over 4100'. There's nothing technical about it, but it's a challenging, consistant climb and a tough decent. Lots a hikers use it as a training hike in their prep for a later in the year attempt of Mt. Rainier.
It is one of those hikes where you'll see people with full, Rainier oriented packs, trail runners and families with little kids and dogs. My legs are screaming at me today.
Thats some serious elevation changes!!!! Im light headed and winded just thinking about it.
Roared back to life at 4:30 this afternoon.
Started on the dash and instruments
hauling over 25,000 KG of concrete chunks, and clay/dirt mix from one of our sites today. They had planned to have several dump trucks arrive on site and do it all in one shot. No dump answered the call, so the site was screwed (deadline looming). So I had to do multiple (5) dump and returns , form the West Side of Vancouver to the tip sites in South Richmond.
Site super was impressed and personally jumped up onto the truck steps to thank me.
got some OT , was at the site all day. Don't think they will be ever calling the dump trucks again.
