Thanks for reminding me why i LOVE the pnw forrests. NONE of those creepies get in your sleeping bag!
Dang. Poor snakes !!!
That sucks. Something is making birds sick too.
That’s why you go with a quilt. Easy to check, easy to exit.
Geeeeeze this with all your tame snakes.... wait till a Tiger Snake wants to snuggle with you .......
Ran into this little guy today: The eastern massasauga rattlesnake (Sistrurus catenatus catenatus) is a unique and fascinating part of Michigan's natural heritage. It is Michigan's only venomous snake, and one of only two rattlesnake species that occur in the Great Lakes region.
With fuel prices I am not surprised.
Yeah I would hitchhike if I could as well !!
One from the news today..... does not get too much more remote of a place to get stung by one here...
Found this little guy hiding in my 1000 pound hay bale..
Copper head ? He is dark. They are beautiful creature from a safe distance.
Strig and I know a guy that was asleep on his floor in his house and a copperhead slithered in and bit him on the finger.
That is remarkable!
I am not 100 % on snake Identification but I would say yes. I had never seen a copperhead in person but it matched all the guides I have.
I keep hearing from all the neighbors how bad the snakes are this year so I don’t think this will be the last…
Just don't fall asleep on the floor in your house and you'll be fine.
