    I was cleaning out the garage and refound these. Thought I’d share.

    The first knife was made and used at our old pineapple cannery. These were the knives that were given to the workers on the line to trim the fruit as they came in. My grandmother worked there pretty much her whole career as a worker then a supervisor so I always kept one around to remind me of her. Nothing fancy. Purely industrial but a part of our island history.

    These next two were from my younger says freedive spear fishing. Made by Hattori of Japan. I love these dive knives.

    The silver one was my first and was well used. It finished off a lot of fish. The second one i bought when I saw it because it looks nice. Used it a few times then kids and life came along and my diving cut back to almost nothing. Can’t and won’t sell them though. Who knows maybe I’ll start up again one day!

    Maui. The plantation closed down in 2009. Since the pineapple and sugar plantations closed the deer populations exploded. They’ve had to form a task force to deal with it. Even hunting isn’t keeping numbers down.

    Thankfully a company is coming in to diversify ag here and grow various fruits and vegetables. We don’t need any more mini malls.

    I love that knife, nothing feels quite like it.
    Yes it is not as strong as a Triad, not as light as a Spydie, doesn't have a fancy steel but it is just special.

    Had a clone as a kid that made me the happiest kid on the planet. Maybe I should get the real deal someday :D

    Got it few days ago and so far I'm loving it. Gave it a convex "v edge" (not V anymore hehe) starting at 17*per side and ending at 12*per side. Sheath is garbge, ended up in the bin the moment I opened the package. I made a nice little kydex sheath for it.
