Going to get back to the 70s by early next week.

Then next Wednesday and Thursday it is in the 30s with snow chances again.

Yeah no kidding.

70 degrees right now, thunderstorms tonight.
Then plummeting to below freezing and we are getting sleet and freezing rain for two days Wednesday and Thursday.

Could become a big deal depending on if it’s sleet or freezing rain.

 

I wish we were getting thunderstorms. It would make it a little better. It was supposed to be nice tomorrow but now it's gonna rain. I can't catch a break to get out lol. Enjoying today tho even though I'm stuck at home. Hopefully this winter weather isn't as bad as they think for us.

 

We pretty much missed out on any rainfall overnight.

It’s dry, was hoping we would get that.

Now it’s cold. Temps dropped over 30* in the last 3 hours.

 

And here we go.. Last time we got 1/4" of ice we lost power for a while.

 

We're just supposed to get rain. I hope that forecast holds for us. I'm done with winter.

Went out to get the mail, about a 2.5 mile trip.
Took almost two hours by truck.

Tree down across the road.
I had the chainsaw loaded last night. cut into pieces and pushed out of way with plow.
Only 10-12 inches thick.

Power sliding gate had roughly 0.375" of ice on it.
Rollers bound up against the frozen pipe.
Beat twenty feet of ice off pipe with stick.

Mailbox coated and frozen shut.
Gently beat the ice off.
No Mail!

i agree I am also done with winter.

 

We lost our power sometime after 01:00.
I got up at 05:00 it was still off.

I was sure it was the Russians.

But it came back on around 07:00
So maybe not.

12ºF with light flurries.

 

Pretty mild winter here in Northern Michigan, compared to where I lived in the Northern Adirondacks.
