Super glue works wonders. I never got stitches for anything as a kid.

Any pro woodworkers here that can steam bend ASH?

I think my Dad would roll over if he knew I was buying a dog sled....rather than using his woodworking tools he gave me to make one.

I can build the entire thing myself, but i have no way of steam bending the runners.......looking possibly to commission someone here to build me two ASH runners. 2" wide x 1" tall x 8' long. Upturn (steam bent section) should be about 12" , graceful curve. Both runners need to be identical in upturn .

while its neat and all...I would have to make a 1 minute video and submit it. Either way.,..no travel to the USA for me.......

and what the heck would I do at a Tech conference? babble on about Beowulf Cluster computing on the Linux platform?

    Babble about knives...... ?

nah...out of my element at something like that

while i really enjoy fielding questions from Google Maps users, thats about as far as it goes.

Plus, it's in California. That's a pretty good reason not to go right there.

I'm really not liking the USPS right now.... Ordered some knives from Dale and he shipped on the 27th but they have yet to get here. The usps' status has been this for three days now.... When I go to call the Usps they always say it's an hour and a half wait to be connected, and even if you say you want a call back, they never do. They should've been here Monday! 20190306_085958.jpg

:D While that sucks.....it beats the two weeks plus for USPS to get to Canada....and that’s the major cities .........up to a month for very rural areas.....:D

True lol. Two weeks would really suck, but at least you know it'll be that long. I did speak with the local office and they told me the package has been damaged and is still in Michigan. The route it takes from there is OH(Dale) to Detroit, to kck, to me. They said I need to contact Dale and have them fill out a missing package report so I'm not sure where it'll go from here.

Usps told me once tracking was not to know where your package is at any given time but to know where its lost. Boy that makes me feel better thanks.

I'm just the opposite. UPS' tracking is much better, they've never been late, and they have a new truck tracking option letting you know where the truck is to your location. But then I'm not shipping to or from Canada.
