Is there a Becker Knife and Tool thread? I was just wondering?

There really isn’t one already? I only got my first Becker for Christmas from my mil. Loving it so far and was just wondering what the thoughts were here.

I only have a couple left. My wife gave me a BK2 for Christmas before we were married. I picked up a BK20 bundle that came with a BK5 and BK 4. Sold the bk20 and gave the bk5 away.

I like the BK4. It's not a conventional chopper but it works.

Is that a Remora with fancy scales on it?

Yes. Someone paid a lot more than the knife cost to have those custom scales put on it. I picked it up in a trade because it looked so nice. When I got it in hand I realized how puny and useless it was so I traded it. I love little blades but that Remora is awful.

    Beckerhead #150 right here.

I'll have to find a pic of my old BK9. It saw some seriously extreme use when I lived up North, and has the scars to prove it. Unfortunately, I think every pic I have of it is on Photobucket... I'll have to take some new ones.

Love the scales on that 16. The 16 is my favorite Becker (probably one of my favorites of any maker) by far. It's perfect to me. I ended up selling (and regretting) the 16 I have pictured above. I managed to pick up a damaged one recently. The tip has been broken off. I'm in the process of modifying it. I'll start a thread when its finished. I've been thinking of getting either the factory micarta for it or some TKC scales...

Have a 16. It’s been my go to hunting knife for the last few years. Also have a bk24 with tkc scales that gets used frequently.

I wish that was me. That's about the only thing that can make a Becker any better. I'm only about 20 minutes away from him. If his shop wasnt so super secret, I'd head over there and ask him to sign a few of my blades (none of which are his)...
Do you think if he signed my chest it would make me bulletproof in that area?

The 16 was a lot of knife for the price. The 5 is still about my favorite and I have at one time had every Becker since Blackjack or close to it.

Still have a few Camillus and prefer that gen 9 over current. Now if I could just pronounce Camillus.

I like the Beckers, but I get confused by their numbering system.

Converting this stuff from fractions to metric hurts my head and I don't have an abacus.

I regret selling my first gen BK7 with , that someone had added custom micarta scales.

I also had a BK9 and man i loved chopping with that knife. But i gave it to my hunting buddy. NO REGRETS there. Its always in his pack.

Yep, definitely a Becker fan. Lots of crossover between ESEE and Becker users. Clearly we all have excellent taste.

I own one or two. Off the top of my head, that's: BK-2,3,5(x2),7,9,10,15,16,21
The 7 and 15 and are modified.

I've previously owned and sold: BK-11,4,17,20

Honestly, I don't have a use for most of them because I spend more time making knives than in the woods. The BK-3 lives in the kindling bucket by the fireplace at the cabin for splitting kindling. The BK-10 is my TEOTWAWKI knife. The 16, though not a beauty contest winner, is a meditation in ergonomics and utility. One of my fav's. The 9 is a sweet spot on the big knife/chopper continuum, being on the lighter side, but performing very well. The 21 is just a sexy brute (adjective, not BK-1).
