A great combo right here.
That's a sweet looking setup!
Beside the great service, that's an AWSOME looking sheath!
I really like the way it slopes and folds on the handle of the knife.
My BK-16 with modded spine. I wear it on my neck.
Bk1 Brute, Bk15 with Dogwood Custom Scales, and Becker Field Bag from @5col .
Nice bag!!! Jealous!
You want jealousy, I was going to show you my one of a kind Lodestone pack when you were down here at the house.

Many don't realize that Ethan used to be the President of CMI.
The BK 16 got new pants today
The BK 16 is my favorite fixed blade that I don't own. I've given away most of my esee's, so I guess I have a good excuse to get one. Unfortunately they don't show up on the buy and sell often. Its important to me to buy a used one so it looks like I've been outside and used it.
Anybody know where I can get replacement handle bolts? the threading on my bk9 have mostly rusted out. one is missing.
Except for the BK1 which was essentially a Froe, all of Ethan’s work is high performance for general campcraft.
I still love the Becker/Fisk BK 5 for food and general field chores.
If I remember correctly, Ethan didn't design the BK1 Brute. Mike Stewart did.
Yep. I believe the baton/hammer was Ethan and of course the modified kukri was borrowed from one of Ethan’s pre 4 protos.
Could be wrong. It has been a bit since he gave me a history tour.
Check with @erik. He is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to hardware.
Same here. Been awhile since Ethan and I talked about it. I need to give the ol boy a call.
Ace hardware sells stainless screws: pretty sure you want #10-24 x 5/8" socket head screws, which take a 5/32" hex wrench - or 4mm if that has too much slop.
Straight from the Becker Blade Database:
Extremely popular question... From Toooj '''The Fasteners for the BK-2, 3, 7, 77, 9 are Socket Head Cap screws #10-24 x 5/8" L. The BK-11 Screws are #6-32 x 5/8" (Not positive on the length) Socket head Cap screws. You should be able to go to any hardware store and buy these'''
From OREGON FAL'ER '''Screw sizes are 10/32 0r 10/24 x 5/8 for the big beckers and 8/32 x 1/2 for the shorts. '''
DerekH adds '''but a Torx 20 works really well'''
