My Daughters pitched in and bought me this for Christmas. They had a little fun with it by giving the handles and knife separate, and then hiding the screws from me. They always try and re pay the shenanigans I pulled on them when they were children ha ha. Anyway, very happy to receive this ESEE 3 with TKC scales. Cant wait to get it out.

The 3 clip point with serrations has become a go-to over the last year or so.

It's definitely gained some patina since February.

Formed a sheath up for my new 3, tried to match the colors a bit. I don't do many knives so took a few tries to get the blocking just right. Using some Matchpoint PTLs for now for belt or pack carry.

Got out today testing my new tarp.
First time setting it up, simple A-frame configuration.
Rain and sun coming and going... prefect tarp conditions ;)
Brought the Esee 3, Fiskars X5, Opinel 12 saw and Firebox Nano to prepare lunch.
It was great fun, hope you guys enjoy the pics.

First made some tent pegs with the X5
    [IMG]

    Hammering them into the ground
    [IMG]

And voila, pleased with the result of my simple shelter. :)

Cut some birch to fit the Firebox
    [IMG]

    Split it to smaller pieces
    [IMG]

Filled the centre with birchbark and curls made with the Esee 3 to get the stove burning
    [IMG]

Next up, some water for my tea :D
    [IMG]

    Fresh gingerroot, my favourite :p
    [IMG]

    Tea is done
Plenty of wood in there for my eggs
    [IMG]

Sun is out again, enjoying my time out here a lot.

    And ready to eat :D
    [IMG]

Time to break up my mini camp and get back home
