Just got mine. It’s pretty cool.

but I swear the first Xreel was way bigger, like 3&1/2” to 4” in diameter.

this one is tiny, 2” diameter.

    is there two models?

    Upgraded my Xreel today

    - replaced the nylon fishing line with 100 LB test (18lb diameter) Dyneema braided PowerPro fishing line (no rotting / UV degradation, no breakage, no survival food (fish) loss)

    - nickel coated stainless single hooks, 3 large, 3 medium, 5 small

    - assorted fishing flies

    - @5col HDPE Ranger Band for fishing line retention while stowed in webbing rig.

    - silicone dielectric grease on the threads and O ring , for smooth no galling opening

    - blue thread lock on all the little Allen bolts

Another upgrade, tiny dab of loctite on each of the six tiny Allen bolts so they never back out in the field

I would think blue loctite would be better, just in case one ever needed to replace the the handle.

If you let it set before putting the screws back in any works just fine.
