IMG_3135.JPG IMG_3134.JPG This is a question for Murph or Todd. I received a Fox Kit from Whitty yesterday which has done well so far but I was wondering if it's normal for the wooden handles to wear like this against kydex?

While this knife is a user and also my first knife with wooden handles, being less than 24 hours old I was a little off put. Also, if it wears enough of the wood away, won't the retention be affected? Do you offer these little guys with leather? Am I worrying about nothing?

It definitely should not wear that badly. I told Todd about it, he said he'll get with you when he gets home today.

Definitely not normal. I know Todd will take care of you but you know we will too!

Ouch I was just looking at those in Whitty's site. I've always been weary of wooden handles. I'm sure they will get you squared away.

Thanks, I left him a message this morning.

Thank you Whitty, I appreciate it.
Dont let this deter you, the knife is actually pretty awesome. I was a little skeptical due to its small size, but after using it to cook and work on split rail fence, the handle swell really fills your palm and the curved blade and second set of jimping really allow for some pressure application.
thanks Bravo, I have no doubt about that.

Give it 20 min and call again. I'm in the shop with him now. He's been dealing with bladeshow/hotel registration headaches.

Sorry for the issue. Todd and Murph will figure it out. Since that one is ruined, I'll take it! :)

Just wanted to update this for anyone viewing. I just spoke to Todd and Murph. Todd was very professional and offered to fix anything subpar without me even asking, even though it's just a minor thing. Seems like a real stand up guy and that makes me a happy customer. Thanks all.

Great customer service. Especially the part below.
I mean, what other knife company will take your wife out for the day so that you can relax and go play in the woods.

Is that offered with every knife or only certain models?

Kidding aside, I really need to buy a TM Hunt knife. Great service and awesome looking knives.

Hmm. I sent a conversation reply yesterday on this forum. I had a bad return address on the package and didn't want it shipped to an old address. I can call tomorrow or Monday.

I just wanted to update this thread (been meaning to do it for a while) to say that I received the knife back at the beginning of last week all fixed with an extra bonus and all is right with the world. Thank you! So you know the knife has been riding on my hip since the day it came back.
