Lately on the East we’ve been getting hit by these late winter/early spring snow storms. In my area of NJ there has been a lot of tree damage in the cities and woods. As of now, another one is hitting and my flight to Georgia was just canceled. It is expected to get worse, but it really is a good time to get outside, as there are even less people!

Amazing how a small weather blanket tarp is sufficient for wind-blown snow.

Most of the dry wood is under snow, so the tedious sawing and splitting was necessary.

I keep this Smith’s sharpener in my camp for touch-ups

Peruvian Cookies. One of the first things I do when I arrive in Peru is get some Inca Kola and Casino mint cookies

...and things on a belt get in the way when bending, sitting, working, and then I look to Batman like with a utility belt.

Me too...thanks. Great for making and taking to go.
Thanks for looking. Winter camps take a little more energy and a lot more fuel in every way than day camps, car camps, or summer/spring camps.
