Recently picked up a 365xL and I have a 365 regular on order as my Dept just authorized them for off duty... I’m loving the modular system may replace my glocks with 320’s now... how can u not like the ability to switch grip modules and slides with the push of a pin. Also started really getting back into self made gear always did it for knives and the outdoors but starting in with firearms.. just did some grip modules , came out pretty good a little more practice and I might do this as a side gig.

    Nice!

These have really grabbed my interest lately. I still haven't been out to the store to get my hands on one yet though.

Right there with you. I was a Glock fan, but the 19 and 43 got pushed out by the 365XL. I put a Romeo Zero on it and matched it with a Vedder holster. Honestly, it's probably my favorite carry 9mm I've owned.

I have had one since they were released. Still my favorite to carry. Need to get one of those grey grip modules and stiple it.

Maybe I'm late to the party .... but I finally saw one in the flesh yesterday. Feels great in the hand. Fairly nice trigger (dry fire). Factory night sights. Great capacity for its size. I've always steered towards Glocks for the past 15 years cause that's what I'm used to, but Sig made a real winner with this one.

Several weeks ago, I get a flyer in the mail from Sportsman's Warehouse advertising the P365XL for $650 with the TacPack. I've been thinking about getting something "more" than my Glock 43 for off-duty carry and this piqued my interest. I couldn't get to the store for a few days and when I finally did, found out that A. they were sold out and B. were now offering the same package for $519. They did have non-TacPack guns for $850. Thanks, pass.

I finished running errands, got home and checked on-line, still available for $519 and placed an order. Waited a couple weeks for the gun to come in, went back to the store to fill out the Fed paperwork and waited another 10 days.

There are a ton of on-line reviews of the gun, so I'll spare you some of the details. The kit came with the gun, a 12 flush fit and two 15 round extended mags. The holster is plastic-y and I've already ordered something else, but it's not bad and came with replaceable belt loops that will fit 1.75" or J hooks for IWB. There are two Allen wrenches for adjusting the holster tension and removing the screws for the optics plate.

The gun is about the same size as my G43, I prefer the longer sight radius and had carried a G48 for the past few years that had been issued to me from work. This seems to be a much better package than the G48 with added Shield mags, etc. Nothing wrong with the G48 and I probably would have bought one if this package had not come available.

One thing that was very noticeable was how small the grip circumference is compared to the Glock. It's really small and I have very normal (medium) sized hands. It was challenging to get my opposite hand properly placed, not bad, just had to make more of an effort.

I ended up shooting 250 rounds total. 50 Federal 147, 100 Winchester 115, followed by 50 Winchester 147 and 50 Federal 147, both of those were for department quals. I had only dry fired the gun beforehand and didn't clean or oil it. There were no FTF's or problems of any kind. Every Glock I've ever owned has need a sight adjustment, there were none needed for the Sig.

This is my first round fired from 7 yards. I thought about doing a mic drop and calling it a day, but needed to at least run the quals!

The trigger press was Ok, again not great but not bad in any way. Some play up front, but a relatively short pull and nice break that should smooth out with more use.

Overall, this is a pretty great package that's useable right out of the box. I may buy another 12 round mag before our state mag restrictions go into effect this summer. Go Washington state!

Even at the $650 price which is where it's back to, I think this is a deal for anyone looking for a higher-cap CCW gun.
