So I’ve been told lol. I already ordered the 2011 mag inserts for my Esstac pouches. I’m excited to compare this thing to my H&K with a timer.

Because I’ve successfully went around the sun for another cycle someone in my network decided I needed this 7.5 quart Lodge enameled cast iron pot. ( none are taking responsibility nor has confession yet occurred…torture and bodily injury may be on the agenda soon. ;) )

    BRS 12A “multi” fuel stove

I bought this because it was advertised as being able to burn DIESEL, kerosene , unleaded gasoline, and naptha

however…. It only uses kerosene , unleaded gasoline and naptha….

    Field review soon!

I think when they say “unleaded” they mean White gas or Coleman fuel. Kerosene might also be called JP or jet fuel. Automotive fuel or gasoline which we call “unleaded” and diesel fuel which you get at the truck stop, has tons of additives, anti foaming agents, detergents…all kinds of stuff, which might not be good for you if inhaled as a leftover gas, might gum up inside your stove, and or might actually be toxic in nature.

Nothing outrageous or that awesome. Just looking to learn something and the utilize the knowledge.
I found that the scandi or saber grinds although functional weren’t performing the way I wanted in a field cooking kit.

I ordered up this Dexter-Russell model 2212 Butcher Point. 4 1/2” blade, 1095 steel, flat ground, oak handle slabs.
Less than $20 USD and it came out of the box sharp enough to shave Superman’s…ummmm… ;)

I pilfered around and built a little slip sleeve to carry it in. I also had a narrow mesh bag in my collection to contain it so it doesn’t come out inside my pack. :). I torch flamed and soaked the handle in food safe beeswax.

It wonderfully thin and light. I think an excellent addition to a chuck box kit. Looking forward to trying it.

I couldn't turn this down and after getting it in hand glad I didn't. Fits the pliers pocket just right with a bare sheath. My Izula will get a break while I try out this super steel stuff, if I can sharpen it the break might be a long one.

The big test will be my penchant for whacking a knife on the spine to drive it through something, sticks, plastics, copper wire, tin cans...... I'm sure I'll avoid doing it for a bit but eventually it's gonna happen. The Izula seems to suck that right up and keep going but will this Magnacut?

Now this is a proper survival tin / multi use tin

weighs said as the Esee tin, it’s bigger, the lid locks tight , has waterproof o ring seal and is tough enough for digging sand / soil / crusty snow. Titanium metal

Looks nice Bushy! Ill bet itll serve you well!

Hate to say it but ive never looked at my tin as a shovel. Id use a stick before id use a tin for that. Or an actual shovel nowadays. Carry one in the vehicle most of the time. Handy for cat holes and other chores.
