Mail Call from Jay & Crew at BLADES CANADA
Mail Call from CAMMENGA
Model 3H - Northern Hemisphere USGI compass with tritium
This compass will be a learning curve for me, as I'm used to simple flat basic compasses. Looking forward to learning new skills though.
And a HUGE SHOUT OUT to CAMMENGA for the blistering fast shipping speed!!!
Mail Call from our very own @Sam Wilson / GEAR CONVOY ( https://gearconvoy.com/ )
2 x Blaze Orange BUSHsteels , plus a service kit (spare O rings, FerroRod, loctite, set screw and wrench, plus storage bag. Thank You SAM!!!! One of these tools is going to @Twoody88 !
I had to laugh when I picked up the parcel from Canada Post - CBSA (Canada Borders Service Agency AKA CUSTOMS ) classified the ferro rods as "electrical" and dinged me for $40 CAD Customs Fees
I'm not complaining though - CBSA let my Platatac Jungle Ruck thru inspection with no fees.
Had to get another one before they're all out.
some gear for myself and the woman/child
More reading material for my extensive history / outdoors / general book collection
Just got the jg5 today. Why I waited I don't know but love it. Been reading up on Sears and finding out he lived near my ancestors. So I ordered this book on Kindle as well. Not crazy about the looks of the hump on the knife but I'm sure it has its purpose. Probably going to make a left handed leather sheath for it, keep it OG style and possibly new scales, but from wood or bone.
Swiss m90 field pack at the thrift store !
Complete set of ZEBRA Billy tins from local BC Canada outdoor gear retailer Paul at BUSHCRAFT CANADA
should be in my grubby mitts by weeks end!
finally got this finished up and ready to go for a first outing today. HPG Recon Belt with Buttpack, pouch, and two nalgene holders. Bottle holders aren’t HPG though because I liked the ability to close the top.
Driving force to try this was I didn’t really like having a pack on my back during bow hunting but wanted the ability to carry a lot of stuff like a backpack. The light green thing is a rolled up pack to haul meat out with. Our hunting species aren’t huge so a 30 L pack will carry out most animals once deboned. So far I like it. Problem is this picture is the only shot I got today haha.
Add a shoulder harness and it's a game changer
I was thinking about that because the buttpack was a little off balanced since it’s pretty big. Thanks for the suggestion I’m going to try the one on my Junction f I can’t order one right away.
For the jg5
That's what I did I pulled it off my umlindi with a few of the hooks and just wrapped molle straps around the whole belt with the hooks catching the top
I can't put my finger on it... but for some reason i want to put my finger in it
Lmao! NOT MY PICTURE, just want to clarify that...
the pattern reminds me of .........
Ironic it's on some wood.. Lol
Mail call! These arrived yesterday from Paul at BUSHCRAFT CANADA , but I was too beat from work to walk two blocks to the post office to pick the loot up.
nukeproof packaging! (Paper packing padding removed for photos).
thanks again Paul !
Ordered more kydex and a 5 with orange scales.
