Disappointed but not upset. Just got this in from an online knife company(I won't say their name) but ordered new and it came used. I've never had an issue with the company and I understand things happen but should get what I ordered and paid for. The handle is dirty, the edge looks messed up a little and it was missing a sticker, which I'm not concerned about that, I have plenty lol,but shows it's a return more likely. It came with everything else including the box cover so whoever sent it may have not known. I emailed them and the only thing they replied with was a return label. No apologies and no other options or words. I don't have a printer so I can't even print the label. 20220707_105707.jpg 20220707_110105.jpg 20220707_105952.jpg 20220707_105923.jpg 20220707_105933.jpg 20220707_105852.jpg

Well I wanted to update anyway. I received a follow up email apologizing and explaination of what happened. So I'll stick with my anonymity :)

I would LOVE to see Esee release a bigger version of this knife, same thickness, same scales, but a bigger longer blade , Junglas 2 sized

From the always awesome Crew at BLADES CANADA , a Spyderco Rescue Assist in black, Storm Whistle in black and a Esee Imlay rescue blade.

I've owned like 3 each of both of these knives over the years, but I keep giving them away to local BC Search & Rescue folks :D

    I'm keeping these!

I need more too. I carry a set of proper color sets in my boat for legal nighttime lights should I be caught out on the water by darkness. But they are the long burn time type. Always a good idea to have a few around.

We Canadians get absolutely screwed over on purchases from the USA and globally. Our CAD $$$ is so weak ....

    Case in point.

I bought a Prometheus Design Werks titanium match case

sells for $119 USD, plus another $40 USD for shipping. Plus $40 CAD at the USA / Canada border after CBSA Customs get their mitts on it. The USD to CAD exchange is freaking brutal

    total $ 265 CAD :confused::confused::confused::confused:

it's pretty damn cool though. A LOT smaller than I thought it would be, it's only a 1/2" wide . I would pay more to see a 1.5" wide ti match tube like this...

do I regret spending 2 days wage on bling? Nope. I'm going to turn this absolute badass piece of kit into a very well stocked survival fishing kit.

From my drunken buddies in Finland :D

4 Swiss military issue machine gun grease tubes with applicator brush. Very very robust plastic containers with a grease/oil resistant nitrile rubber seal.

these are commonly used by the soldiers for waterproof match cases, they cut off the applicator brush. If you put silicone grease on the threads , these are apparently dive rated to about 100'

@Bushcraft_Dave set me up with these two! Love the Darien! Such a fun blade to swing.

    20220722_111538.jpg

I had a Rusty Blades kydex sheath laying around that I think will work great with the Izula for a ATV knife.

Work 75 hours overtime in one month and buy bling.

already got the bead blasted Prometheus Design Werkz titanium survival tube with compass (see posts above) , might as well add the black out edition....... the Crew at DS TACTICAL in New West BC Canada had one long forgotten under the cash register display case.

Gotta find a 5 gallon pail of this stuff. Too expensive buying the large bottles ($70 CAD)
