A new spare wheel mounted gear bag….
Haha. Kid you not!! Was just doing this exact thing last night on my esee 6. Definitely keeps an edge near perfect. Only downside I found was if your wanting to change the degrees it seems to take forever with the 320 stone. Other than that, I absolutely love the sharpener.
For sure... You can always use another stone to knock it down first I suppose... I heard they will offer more grits in the future.. I'm cool with using my own handheld strop though.
I thought it worked great.... It's compact and you can't beat the price... I brought back like 6 knives from the dead in a 1/4 of the time it would have took me on my bench stones. I suppose a fancier sharpener will give you that perfect shine and "perfect" angle... but this little kit is awesome for a great working edge.
I was told this was a small book, not that it weighed 10 lbs.. Lol. Anyway, I know for a fact I would never survive in a shtf situation, but I figured it would be a good read anyway. Also went in half with good ol Harold and got the advanced kit. Knifeworks has it for $416 so not too bad. I really just wanted the knife and a few of the goodies.
That is a good read mate, I have a copy here somewhere as well.
That's what I've heard, that it's one of the best. Just wondering what took me so long in getting it..
I mean... $45?
Got the skinny pouch last week for my ghost hunting kit but it's not wide enough. So ordered two from maxpedition since they were bogof and only place I could find the fatty in grey. It would've been a good deal if their shipping wasn't so high and then they charge some fee for safe shipping? It's only 98¢ but still an extra unknown charge, until after you order. Unless I missed something. Anyway, it's maxpedition and excellent pouches so why not. Had to get the piranha patch to match my 3. I'm weird like that. Also a Wuben C3 and one helluva flashlight. Up to 1200 Lumens on an 18650 rechargeable battery. USB type C charging as well.
Good deal on that blade!! That's hard to pass up for that price!!
Local place (as in 300m in a straight line from my front door) had a sale and I grabbed a couple of extra headlamps....
Definitely a good read, the book that got me into outdoors stuff when I was a kid, it was probably the only one translated in Bulgarian back then, covering such topics.
More MTB stuff, so I can ride again, once this ungodly heat is over. I have parts to rebuild the whole drivetrain now, even make it a bit better and lighter.
So I ordered a WWII m1 bayonet. This will probably sound stupid or dumb but I wanted one because of my grandfather who served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. I never knew him but I know he was a hero and he received a lot of medals during his service, including the purple heart. I was his first born, and only grandson so thinking he probably would've handed something like this down to me. I don't know if that would be considered selfish, but I don't mean it to. It's hard to explain. Anyway, I should've done more research on them because the one I received, although real and from that time Era, was made by the US for the Greek military. I wanted one carried by the US. Luckily the guy accepts returns. It's really cool nonetheless.
I thought it was about time for a new strop. The old one, on the left, I've had about 4 years. It's served me well but the leather is really bumpy now. Also picked up an 18V cordless Skil still with bag and a light for 25.
Paid for a Liberty Fatboy JR.
Having it delivered and installed.
