Nice! I've only spoken with Curtis but he was a pleasure to deal with, and I could definitely tell he takes pride in their company. The SHF Damascus limiteds they posted pics of are pretty drool-worthy...
I got my SOE belt today (black EDC belt with Royal stitching. my arcteryx B. A. C. Cap, a new pair of 5.12 tac lite pants, and a 4sevens Atom AA are all on their way now.
This li'l guy showed up today: Ritter M390 mini-Grip. Previous owner acid washed the blade and removed the logos, but I'm fine with that. Got some scales on the way (from Russia) to match my full size Ritter. Also found a used 551BKD2 for a good price to finish my "Fallout Grip" project. The worn Black coating and D2 steel will be a perfect blade to complete it. Just waiting on everything else to show up from Russia...
i thought you said you'd go all cody lundin bare foot to save weight? can't wait for cooler weather...might do a group overnighter on the 24th. you in?
Picked up a bunch of boil bag meals, beef jerky and Landjaeger for camping this weekend. Not being able to cook on an open fire sucks.
Got my Arcteryx BAC cap in yesterday and threw the patch on there. The 5 was new a few years ago, now not so much.
Picked it up from a custom maker TRocky from windriverwild. It's his 3v bushcrafter with curly maple bolsters and natural micarta with black liners and stainless hollow tubes. Really easy guy to work with and makes a beautiful blade! Heres some more knife porn. Lol Pictures courtesy of the maker as I'm a horrible photographer
He does all his HT in house with a Evenheat kiln I believe. He says his RC is 61 spot on every time. You can look him up on Instagram @ windriverwild He can answer all your questions and is very responsive and easy to talk with. The knife pictured is 8 1/2 inches overall length 4 1/4 blade and 4 1/4 handle. Blade thickness of .166 The version I bought has a thicker handle for my big paws
