Just found this documentary about Bas Rutten. I'm impressed. I understand more about him now. I, too, suffered from asthma as a kid. Nearly died from it repeatedly. Now, I understand more about why I'm such an ass, and refuse to be *'d w/, even @ 66
Bas is one of the coolest guys you could meet. I really like his teaching methodology. He actually encourages his students to train at as many gyms as possible. So they can learn as much as they can about different techniques, etc. Unlike Rhonda's head coach who would probably throw an enormous tantrum if you so much as thought about training elsewhere.
UFC bores me these days. when Chan Sung Jung returns I'll watch it again, but I won't go out of my way for anything else. Rizin FF now, that's another story, as are most of the top level grappling specific competitions.
