This one is done as well but waiting on leather for the dangler to try.
I need my sheath ASAP. The sheath that @Expat scent smells like he hiked for two months without a bath then stored the sheath with his dirty clothes in the sun.
My son had it in the kitchen and my wife walked in and told him to go take a bath because she thought he had been shoveling out the chicken lot.
The good thing is I can pretend that I am a true buschcrafter when I wear it.
Lol I am trying to get it to you by the weekend.
10-fur. Seriously, the sheath has a case of stank.
The sheath smells like Mike Perrin's attitude, after he's been in an all-night eBay battle with counterfeiters
I thought I recognized that smell.
My 2nd Libertard was stuck in the packaging so long all my mail stunk. It was quite amazing.
It smells like Gasoline to me.
Reminds me of my childhood.
So I am not the only one that received one with the stench of death.
I just bought this thing to support @Expat because all the Lodge jobs are being outsourced. I actually like it though.
I can't wait for him to release his new shuriken, The Obstreporous
It cost us an extra $5 per sheath to get each one fully-coated with Eau de Harbor Freight
I love the smell of Harbor Freight.
Smells like Quality!
And with a hint of model airplane glue.
anyone soaked their Lib stock sheath in hot beeswax yet (hot wax wet forming) ?
Not yet. But as soon as my kydex arrives from @Allen Morrison I will have an experimental sheath available for a possible hot wax treatment. I must explore the process further before committing.
Do people hot wax nylon sheaths?
I hot wax my bikini line
Fake news. We know you only wear the ESEE thong
That requires a lot more waxing.
basically melt some beeswax in a shallow , long pan. put the canvas sheath in and soak it, then insert the knife and push it in as far as it will go, wipe off the excess wax and let it harden. Then remove the knife and voila....hard canvas sheath.
