Hello again everyone! I was on the old forum as well but got busy with life and wasn't aware that the forum had been redesigned. So, I'm back and happy to be. Still have ESEE knives, Glocks, AR's etc. Still in East TN near Knoxville.
Hey y'all! My name is Ed, I live in NC & just got my first Esee as a Christmas gift from my son. I got an Esee4 & I have to say I'm extremely impressed with the quality & craftmanship! I love the outdoors, especially like to fly fish and hike. Hope everyone had a great Christmas!
Hi all, New member here and a relatively new entrant to the knife world. I have had a Gerber Bear Grylls Ultimate Pro knife for a few years now - decent knife for the price (though I am not particularly fond of the bright color scheme especially if you want to remain less conspicuous when carrying the knife on the belt). As I started reading more about knives on various forums and sites, one name that consistently stood out was ESEE. And as I read more about various options from ESEE, the more I wanted to own one (yes, just 'one'). I read a lot of reviews about the ESEE 5 and the ESEE 6 and recently I decided to go for the ESEE 5 (plain edge, black blade) as I was really impressed by the sheer strength of it, and the warranty that goes with most ESEE knives. I have used it some (batoning wood to make smaller pieces, creating feather sticks, chopping small branches etc.). It was also my constant companion on a recent trek - and though it is on the heavier side, it is really good to have something on you that you know you can depend on if things go bad! Anyways, long story short, now that I have one, I am tempted to buy more (and I now understand why everyone keeps saying that you cannot have just one ESEE knife) - already debating between the 3 and the 4 now! Hope to learn from the combined experience that seems to be there on this forum, and put my knife thorough more usage in the upcoming treks/hikes!
I'm Jim, I'm originally from Fort Payne Alabama, grew up in little river canyon, and I'm a lifelong knife fanatic.
Hello folks! Long time knife nut here. Have served in the US Army and now reside in the great state of Alabama! Looking forward to learning new stuff here! Happy New Year!
Where you from dude? Hopefully not a sister-marrying cousin-loving southern state like you sound like. We dont need them kinds around our neck of tthe woods.
