It's about time to depart east TN for a few weeks and head south To FL where we can get outside and warm up. I'm not a big Fan of FL having lived on the Gulf Coast side (near Tarpon Spprings) for 22 years. (Other than the fishing and boating) Too many rats in the cage/overcrowded and lots of idiots. We have been away for a dozen years and haven't spent a great deal of time on the east coast. We have some quality time available so we thought we would do FL this winter instead of the longer haul to AZ. The first week is Fort Clinch near Jacksonville and St Augustine Anastasia State Parks. Next is three days in a private Park south of St Augustine, then 4 days at Faver-Dyke SP. Two days are open proceeding south and then spending 11 days in Key West. By then I should need some time drying out at the Betty Ford Clinic. Duval faced on **** street. We then proceed north with a couple days open. One night at Tomoka SP, then two weeks at Gamble Rogers SP, near Daytona Beach. My Brother in Law lives nearby so we will get some rubber boating time in and some fishing. Early March will be spent at Henderson Beach State Park near Destin in the Panhandle. By then it should be Spring in east TN. Taking our 10.5 foot Achilles inflatable boat and motor. Great fun boating in the Keys and Atlantic ICW Bar hop boating, fishing and exploring. About 2500 miles round trip in seven week. Should be a good time.
