    Thank you! I know that the way of the woods is the more you know the less you carry. For me I’m normally in state parks or scout camps. Yea you can find plenty of good dead fall to turn into camp crafts but when it comes to cooking green wood is best but they frown on cutting saplings or branches down so I need to be creative lol

    Oh yeah... one or two swamp grills and you get the idea. No need to deforrest a place to practice for sure. I need to get out to my forge and make some cool stuff like that.

    Agreed, I’m getting close to my goal. Right now all my gear minus a sleeping pad and sleeping bag is at 46 pounds. That includes a gallon of water and a week supply of food. My goal is total weight at 40 pounds. Slow and steady.

    Brother! you need to come up here and grill some meat over alder coals up in the Squamish Valley. Cut all the wood (firewood and grilling wood ) you want.
