Both work but I wouldn’t use either now that I have a Cr 2.5 and JG3. The extra length is a hassle.

I use the Laserstrike for deer processing mostly. I had a 3 and 3cp I used some, but found I liked the LS more for that purpose. I have a 5, but haven't used it yet.

I have used 4 and a 5 and liked both. I was surprised that I liked the 5 a bit better...

I’ve used the 5 for skinning, it’s excellent. Haven’t tried it for dressing, the 4 usually gets that duty.

A 5 would not be my choice, its almost the exact opposite to what I like in a hunting knife. The 6 works but again not ideal. too big , wide bladed and heavey. I used a 3mil for years, the thin stock and blade length was good. It was stolen and I replaced it with a custom.

When he says he loves the knife... he really does. This is Shanes baby. I geek out over the ESEE 4 and Shane geeks out on the CR 2.5.

I could do an animal with a 5 or 6. I've done em with a 4, but the mighty mighty Izula is what I reach for most often.

The candiru is a great skinning tool.

It’s hard to see but we used the 2.5 to skin a possum and I was sold on it after that. It’s like using a scalpel, I can wait for @shaneadams90 to send me my orange one. :)

Cr 2.5 all the way I use a 4 if I need something bigger and a cleaver for fleshing. Cr 2.5 best hunting blade ever!

The first deer that my son helped me dress was done with a 5.
