Planted some purple potatoes today

 

Well after doing some repairs to one of the neighbors horse paddocks I did some work in the garden.
Spread some 15yr old manure

Planted pole beans 2nd sister of the 3

Started some more pearl okra seeds

Cucumbers and tomatoes are blooming


Ichiban eggplants doing well, should have enough for a dinner in a few days.

Starting to get some tomatoes, okra, and more eggplants

 

Planted the 3rd sister today (sqaush)

First silk

Peppers

Tomatoes popping out on every plant

Purple potatoes seem to be doing well

Eggplants,okra, carrots, and onions looking good.

 

Third sister is born, squash has sprouted

Now I don't want you guys to get jealous of my gardening skills but...... We planted some carrots, in a metal bin, on my apartment balcony


That said it's been two days and we still don't have carrots so my expectations are low haha

 

Give them time, they don't pop up overnight.

On a serious not though, does anybody have experience with growing vegetables that don't require tons of direct sunlight? We only get a few hours(at most) of direct sun to our balcony and we would like to grow more but I don't want a bunch of stunted veggies

I trim the lower ones off as the plants grow

 

@STPNWLF no one here can compete with you! Except maybe @Delkancott Great looking garden. I’m jealous of those almost ripe tomatoes.

I do have some small green ones. Did a little weed maintenance today with the tiller and hoe.
This is about as good as it gets in our garden.

Put a mirror or some sort of foil wall behind the planter to reflect light. Seems to work well on my friends patio bucket garden.
