Drop video suggestions in this thread! Let'em fly! Per @The Warrior Fire building when it's wet out. What makes a good BASIC kit. What knife styles excel at different tasks, and why they do. Chest rigs seem to be popular. Shelter building is always interesting. Especially if going to different areas, and building a shelter from what that area has to offer. Different knife grips for various tasks. Roughing out spoons. I'll post more as it enters my mind.
Would love to see the new James Gibson hatchet used for spoon roughing, shelter building, etc. Be nice to see it in action. Feathersticking is always useful.
How about some of the furniture @bearthedog does, I wouldn’t mind seeing a chest rig video, and how about a trapping video.
BAM!------ESEE FireSteel video How's that for customer service....just ran out and shot that for you just now!
Why Featherstick---is on the way... we do have the Feathersticks and Fire video The Gibson Axe will have a full video and Demo as soon as I get my hands on a production model... Shelter building will have to be a multi-part series...LOTS of topics to cover....
That's gonna be tough to do in a video that isn't HOURS long...we just split the Land Nav class into TWO FULL days due to the amount of content involved....this one would have to be feature length!
Maybe we can do something with the @Azimuth and the HPG guys on a video and Q&A session....will keep this on the burner. Wynn Double Wishbone -- This was filmed at Bum Camp.... I will have @Patrick Rollins get a little more crafty in our upcoming videos for furniture and stuff.
It's okay, but it would be better if someone were explaining the technique they're using. Woods that work best, grip, blade grind, etc.
this was just come B-roll editing on the plane to SHOT show...more detail later will address those topics specifically.
I remember the Wishbkne video, I watched y’all film it, I was thinking get Casey to a more in-depth on trapping.
Casey will be at the Idaho Bushcraft class with us...we will see if we can't get him in front of the camera....Personally, I'd like his thoughts on scent control and how to manage scent at the Trap site....
You're correct. I still contest, there's only about a dozen members on the forum. Most have 10 or so different user names.
