Thanks @R Stowe ! I still smile thinking about it - not something that will easily fade away.
Awesome trip report/video and congrats on the adventure. I have actually been up there twice, third time never happen for some reason even though I was ready to go. Beautiful country up there and recognized a lot of your photo's.
Cheers and enjoy that big knife when you get it.
Hell yea - thank you Mario! I wish I had the "old" thread to go back to as a reference, my apologies for the error.
It is gorgeous up there, I will definitely have to go back and explore more of the area - Tennent Lake, Myra Falls, Buttle Lake, Della Falls are all on my list to explore sometime.
Just saw the photos and video... nicely done!
Mario, PM me your address, I've got a consolation prize to send you!
Awesome Rob, that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!
Nice! Great job!
Great trip and write up. For sure some memories to last a life time.
Thank you - and another Thanks to @McKROB, @Jeff Randall and Wendy and the entire ESEE/RAT family for making this whole thing happen!
Well, this showed-up today!
Hell yes - another Izula to have as a piggy-back knife on the big 'ol Hoon-glas! Wendy said this is the "Bonus Izula" so I'm guessing the Junglas will be coming soon - I'll be sure to post pics when it shows up.
Something came from Shon Rowen today!
If that hill is anywhere near Fort Sherman I bet I've fallen down it.
This Junglas is an absolute beast! You have to hold one to truly appreciate just how hefty they really are.
I'm very grateful to have received such an awesome blade, along with the bonus Izula! Thanks again (and again) to @Jeff Randall, @McKROB, @Mar, Wendy and the rest of you crazy bastards on here
I figured out a way to rig up the Izzy to the Junglas sheath (for now) - gonna take them camping this weekend for a proper break-in. I'm definitely content with my humble, but well-rounded ESEE family
I was able to dig up a cached version of @Expat's thread from the old forum, and took down the coordinates:
Being completely honest - I'm gonna have a go at the Panama tube someday. My g/f is taking 3 quarters of Spanish this year, and I'm picking up bits here 'n there...and driving her crazy while doing so
We're planning a trip down to S.America once she's done with college so she can experience "total immersion" - but to me it sounds like a good excuse for another epic ESEE hunt!
