I saw these at Blade, looked like a well thought out compact kit. I also can attest to the awesome rust prevention of bfat.
I have one of these kits and took the screws out and stuffed them in the bottom of the bag.....then I put a small, double sided strop in the tin....
a homemade job....leather and compound on each side of a cut out of 5 ply plywood...small, but functional...
It’s does great on leather/wood in general but can get a little greasy if over-applied to handles, so just use it sparingly and you’ll be fine.
Great addition. Picked one up earlier this week. Added a Sagewood Gear EDC strop. Fits perfectly in the pouch.
You can purchase the B-Fat from us but the whole kit would have to be purchased from one of ESEE’s dealers.
It does smell like bacon (who can resist that?) so I store it just like you would food. I typically just hang the tube with my food in a tree when camping. Those older ladies (cougars) love the smell of bacon too. So take the necessary precautions there as well.
Thanks! I'll definitely have to keep it in an OPSAK liner. And the cougars do like to stalk and sneak up on you in your moment of weakness (aka after 3 drinks in lol). Can't wait to try your seasonings!
