IMG_0146.JPG IMG_0147.JPG IMG_0148.JPG IMG_0151.JPG Started to reload Match .223 for my precision AR. I'm too tall for a direct bench mount. Decided I needed a riser, but the ones for sale online were lacking for what I was looking for. Had some scrap 1/4" plate laying around, so I decided to fab my own. Ford Red Tractor Paint from TSC was a pretty close match to Hornady Red. Takes forever to dry, but is super tough when it does. Any ideas for modifications?

Very nice setup. Do you have a favorite bullet picked out yet?

My AR really likes the Hornady 68gr BTHP, but I'm working up loads for the 75gr as well. The new ELD from Hornady looks interesting, but the availability sucks.

But, that would look too much like Christmas.

And, JD Green might be the single most ugly color ever developed.

Please do. It's so much more ergonomical. It took me about three hours with my rudimentary tools.

    Heresy!

Grandpa sold JD for 35 years and all of us grandkids got brainwashed.

IMG_0003.JPG IMG_0005.JPG Starting to dial in a 75gr load. Not too bad considering my shooting bench and a 4X scope.

    I like it.

I'd want a lip on the front that could hold akro bins.

That's a good idea. I might screw something to the front lip of the wood bench.

IMG_0006.JPG IMG_0007.JPG This is the current load that I'm working with. I might tweak the edges a little.

I like it. I need to start reloading. More for convenience than accuracy.

Ten rounds @ 100 with new load. Starting to lose some accuracy. Might need to back off a little.

I found a cool app for Android. And it's free. It's called Range Buddy. IMG_0012.JPG
