Day hike - finally got out

    Very sad, but yesterday was the first chance I've had to get out and hike in forever. It's just been that busy around here. It was partially for school, mostly for fun.

    My new to me German gebirgsjager ruck. Love it so far. I may have to post a thread about it elsewhere.

    I didn't know until last night, but yucca is native to my area. Not very common though.

    Believe it or not, this hillside used to be a mine and was completely barren for about 70 years due to high soil and water acidity after the mine closed.
