I think my hat rack is turning out ok. It will work until I find a better tree. I just don't like cutting down cedars for no reason, this was one that the neighbor hit with the logging skidder.

I just cancelled my service with visible wireless, going to try mint mobile. I can't even upload a screenshot right now.

 

I've been sitting here 10 minutes trying to upload 2 pics. One was done and one was at 70% when I had to touch my phone to keep it open and it clicked a stupid link and I lost the whole post.

 

I'm surprised that one still showed up. There was a whole story typed out and a pic of my hat tree.

 

One guy said he thought I needed to sell him my hat this morning. Then I got called ZZ top, David Allen Coe and leprechaun Mafia. I was waiting all day on a leprechaun joke.

 

I don't know if I told y'all but I found my missing can of boiled linseed oil on my stitching horse.

 

I hate USPS.

 

If I buy any more hats, I'm going to need to open a hat store. Which has me thinking...I could have a place to store my collection and write it off and combine it with leather work. I have to decide where I would put it, because I would need a larger space. If I do it here, her business could pay for the building and I could rent it from the business. Her business owns all the land and current rentals already. Hmmm we might get a new barn.

 

We got about a quintillion cedar trees up here, in the lower part of BC alone.

Went for a little hike with the dog. Pulled 4 ticks off myself. We need some colder winters and some fires to kill these little buggers off...

 

Dang 4 is a load. They have been bad down here.

 

I don’t think we ever stopped seeing them all thru hunting season/winter. Very mild weather. They are gonna be ferocious this year.

 

Well, where to start, I walked away from a car crash this afternoon. I actually drove the car home after I took the bumper and inner fender off. I got home to a flattened box with a hat in it. I took a picture of the box, but I didn't think to take a pic of the flattened cowboy hat. I was still shook up from the wreck, I guess and I was in a hurry to straighten it out to see how bad it was.

Luckily it was a softer vintage hat, so it has more give to it than modern hats. I steamed it to a open crown, then put it back to a cattleman's crease.

So, I was driving home from work on the 4 lane 65mph divided highway, and a car rolled out in front of me at an intersection. Luckily, I didn't hit anything solid. I basically drove through the back bumper of a Kia. I think the trunk lid put creases down the hood of my old Honda and it barely busted my mirror housing. It also smashed my front bumper and new headlight. My tires felt square on the way home.

I guess the guy pulled out and looked the other way
He rolled out and kind of just loitered in the middle of the road.

 

I haven't even hauled the old headlights off yet. They are on the back of the Avalanche.

They haven't been 4 ticks bad around here but they have been constant...

Ive learned there are certain places around the house that are worse than others. There is 1 place if i make my way through 99 percent of the time i will come back with at-least 1 tick crawling on me. 75% of the time 2 or more...

I need to burn out some brush and trim back the grass but it has been so dry here its just dangerous...
