Got out for a hike last weekend with my main man. He wanted to take the difficult route this time around. It turned out to be a brutal hike because of the route since he opted to go down the other side far from where we parked the vehicle. It was a great experience though. Rock formations at the base near the start of the trail. Gotta stay hydrated in a desert. Here come the boulder hopping. He was getting tired at this point but no complaints. I told him about the "no whiners" rule. Victory! Do not do this at home! Had fun even though it was pretty tiring. A lot of people hike this for a good workout. Lot's of people so we don't do it often but it's a pretty view from the top and it's a challenging hike. Thanks for looking!
Only one. I thought I got a picture of him but camera must not have taken it...just a small guy. With the treatments, it's so up and down for him. We do know that they caught it early...a blessing there. He doesn't have to take the steriods right now. He got about a 3-4 week break from that. He doesn't have a lot of energy but he's fighting through it. One tough kid. Thanks for asking, brother. It's definitely got it's own beauty. I still remember the day I stepped off that plane and saw it for the first time. Coming from Michigan it was very foreign to me.
Great pics and what an amazing place to live!!!!! Thanks for sharing and good to hear an update on your nephew.
Is this camelback in Phoenix? Looks familiar. Love that terrain and can't wait for the next trip out there. I wish I could talk my wife into moving near the Sedona area.
Just wanted to give a quick update. I found out that Liam is now in remission. His lymph node reaction is maybe what got everyone to catch it in the early stages. Seems kinds of fast. Miraculously fast. He's still got to go through his 2-3 years of chemo and other things just to be sure so there's still ups and downs in the future. We're all grateful, thankful. Especially as it's Thanksgiving next week. Thank you again to all of you who helped, prayed, fasted, donated, thought, sent smoke signals. You guys are the best. Time to go on another hike/campout.
Nice trip, epic pics. Not to sidetrack the thread, but I thought you typed herpes. So I've been looking at my screen like WTF? Great news!
