A group of friends and I get together once a year for a five day adventure. Typically we canoe a different state every year. This year we decided to change it up and raft the Chattooga in South Carolina and backpack some of the Appalachian trail. No pics of the rafting. (My GoPro is in the bottom on the Buffalo River, Arkansas.) We set up base camp at Standing Indian campground. It rained pretty steady the whole trip but it was still a great time with old friends.
Looks like a fun time, last time I did Standing Indian I was headed to GA and the were snow drifts o top of the mountain. The weather looked better for you.
It was perfect except for the rain. Low 60’s at night and 75-80 during the day. Felt like getting hit in the face with a hot mop when we got back to Alabama.
