The German Army surplus alpine pack is a solid inexpensive option. Pass through sleeves behind both side pockets. $30, and only $10 shipping from Finland. https://www.varusteleka.com/en/product/bw-mountain-troops-rucksack-surplus/1014
I bought one from them and it looked brand new.
The mountain ruck is definitely a good pack but the straps aren't great in my opinion. I picked one up a while ago that had an Alice strap mod done to it and it's way better now...
Who makes top two pack?
LLBean waxed canvas pack is 20% off (ends tonight)
Still looking mid week bump....
I don’t have any direct experience with this pack, but a friend of mine has the messenger bag from this company and the quality seems quite good, the canvas is comparable to Duluth pack, he also claims the stitching is very well done.
For $55 it might be worth trying assuming the size is right.
