For guys that have these...Are they worth getting? Really like the Original 4 ,but got to lookin at the new HM design as well.
If you like thin handles, get the standard 4. If you like a more rounded handle, that's also thicker and doesn't have a choil- I'd recommend the 4HM. Both are great.
If you are used to working with farm tools, the HM series is a big improvement over the standard profile. I prefer more edge over choils unless I am doing intricate tasks where I need more torque/control. OTOH, the round profile does interfere with indexing in pitch black scenarios if the Ninja are coming after you
Had to modify my 4hm to my liking. Out of the box it wasnt good for me. Now its a dream to work with and i love it. Muds right.
Thanks for replies fella's....I do find the original Esee scales too flat for my paws. Liners help, but the LMF scales are better. Got some Amazon points burnin to be used...Looks like I gots a place to use em now!
I prefer the fatter grip of the HM. I actually wish you could get the fatter grip of the HM but with the choil.
I have both.. i love them both. but...... if i could only have one then it would be the hm hands down. i grooved the handle just for more traction. i have major nerve damage in my right hand so i do whatever it takes to stay in my hand. lol
