...... where is your rifle case.....???? You have been hanging around Randall too long and are clearly going soft.....!!!!! ....... those little Suzis are getting a big following out here !! I couldn't see myself heading into the interior in one but a think they would make a great little weekender. The accessory market for them here is BIG !!!
A less than exciting and hopefully never required addition. I have carried a fire extinguisher mounted on the cargo cage above behind the rear driver's side seat. Never needed it but hope I never do. Given it's age (though still showing it's fully charged) I was looking for a replacement and of course time has seen plenty of changed in tech. So my research lead me to this place.... https://fire-one.com.au/ ....and I ended up ordering the larger one for my truck, a smaller one for the kitchen and a couple of those suppression stickers for the power box. While I was OK with the current mounting of the unit I have I thought it could also be somewhere more accessible to me, there are a couple of companies that make different vehicle specific mounts for my truck (down the sides of the seat or across the front generally). Settled on one from... https://www.svnty6fab.com.au/ .... that mounts to the side of the drivers seat base. I have had the mount here for a couple of weeks but the extinguishers only arrived during the week. I was almost hoping this would take more time to fit than it did but alas they made it too easy. Sooooo..... No Mount.... The bike lock cable there is what I secure around my hard gun cases when I travel, it still works with the extinguisher mount in place. Mount fitted..... Extinguisher clamped on..... ....the extinguisher is supplied with a single C Clamp and they recommend that for boating or off-roading you use one or two more. I ordered a two pack that unfortunately didn't ship at the same time but when should land here on Monday. No big issue to add them while it is all fitted by the looks of it.
@Andy the Aussie that seems like a very well-designed product. I keep mine in a plastic holder that's lashed to the MOLLE on my seat back panel. Your solution is much cleaner.
Yeah it is tidy and only JUST fits with the door speakers/pods. I figure if i ever need it having it as close by as possible is best. I generally travel alone (because I dislike humans in general ) so putting it there for me made the most sense.
…….Added a couple more C Clamps to the extinguisher. It is rock solid now. Takes a firm yank to remove it now.
Purely cosmetic.....changed the silver wheel centres I had..... ....for some black ones.... ....because...well..... "black"
After a year of waiting, finally got my Maxgear bumper with tire and gas/water can carrier. Completely worth the wait. And I added the Frontrunner folder down table to it for more surface area back there. Then I fixed the dent everyone seems to be so upset about.....
Well, it's pretty stock now, minus tires and wheels, but that's a story for another day. An Alu Cab camper should be here any day, and I already have an awning, fridge set up, and a solar panel ready to be mounted. I have to say this truck has impressed me so far. I'm looking forward to getting into the backcountry with it a bit more.
Yeah I’ve had it a couple of months but held off doing much to it until my camper arrives. It’s supposed to be in port tomorrow.
For what it’s worth, I bought it at a Toyota dealership. Front and rear lockers, factory skids, a pretty impressive suspension, and a 21 gallon fuel tank outpaced their regular offerings.
I’ve already caught plenty of it from other Utah fans. It was a tough decision but when I compared features side-by-side it was a little easier.
@R Stowe ..... I'm aghast !!! short for words...and that iS RARE!!! The REAL questions is where did the Taco go?
New headlights for the 2007 Pilot. Not an off-roader like the Tacoma but nicer around town. Shocks are next. Then the front struts. Picture taken in the normal environment…grocery store parking lot looking for heavy cream for pasta sauce tonight.
Finally got my new Tacoma setup to where I want it. RSI Smartcap assembled and installed, Yakima Load Warrior Basket with two ARB awnings, Rigid Bumper lightbar and hoodscoop lightbar, added LED lighting strips, bed lighting, and Rigid A series tailgate lights. Also made a power centre for the rear passenger side compartment, and a switch panel for the lighting. At work:
