Decided it was a good day to go check out a seldom used side trail I've always been curious about... Brought my second favorite hiking buddy along with me: Arrowleaf balsamroot is exploding right now: Eventually left the main drainage and headed up a little side creek: Obligatory knife pic: Best damn Snickers I've had in while: Kit: The north-facing draw became tighter and tighter, the snow was getting deeper and deeper, so I decided to turn around and save the rest of it for another day: Bear track. Prolly a week old or so: Had to usher this little guy after the road on the way out: All in all, time well spent.

Went out with the family again, found some trails we are gonna take the mtnbikes on. We encountered some wildlife Also came across a cemetery 2 miles into the woods It was a hot and humid day in the dirty south but had a great time hiking with the family. Got the kids out for another nature walk today, we have been having some beautiful weather for spring. Lots of insects around today, we saw tiny little dragonflies and got rained by caterpillars. There were also a lot of spiders and ants as usual I'm sure @Stone could identify them. Also saw this guy who is the biggest beatle I've ever seen in person There was also a crazy amount of cotton that was everywhere
