I made a cover for my Swedish Mess Kit clone (Pathfinder PFM40)

I just got this kit because it’s stainless steel versus the other 2 military surplus ones I’ve had in the past that were made in aluminum.

I made a quick and simple cover without a sewing machine, but next time I need to learn how to sew.

it’s ugly and I doubt the draw string seam at the top will last and when it fails, I’ll ask someone to help me out and sew the seam for me.

Thank you gentlemen! I’m going to borrow a sewing machine and finally learn how to use one. It seams like the hardest part is setting it up? We’ll see!

    Update:

I pulled out the old seam and put in a tighter one with upholstery thread. The thin thread and needle was actually a lot faster than the speedy sticker and wax thread. I did a back stitch and it's was pretty easy and quick.
