Because the scales of my Victorinox Huntsman got messed up in the bottom of my pack I did an experiment today.. 3D Printed new scales at work (Ultimaker S3) 3D model is from Thingyverse result: It's the plus scales, so need to hunt down a pin and pen to fit in them too They're press fit, just like the originals I did't get a perfect flush fit, maybe I didn't remove the support material far enough from the mounting holes. Happy with the result though I'd be nice to see more printed scales collected in this thread if you guys have some If possible include a link to the model and your thoughts on the outcome.
You use to be able to buy a really nice pattern off of ETSY. There was a big time scale maker that was going out of business and a ton of people bought the pattern. I would search there and see if you can find it. I think it was something like $4.99 I would guess that probably 75 % of the custom SAK scales off Etsy use that pattern.
