I'm with the 4WDABC, and OVERLAND BC....recently i posted a photo of a crazy insane long way down drop into the river valley of Lytton BC......and that photo got picked up by OUT HERE ADVENTURE, an online mag showcasing BC/Canada scroll down, mine is called "Heaven" 1000 foot vertical drop into the river valley, and yes the river is actually that color! http://www.outhereadventure.com/canadian_photo_gallery
Great pic mate, I have some pics (35mm - dates it) that I took in Canada where the water is that shade of green. Spectacular !
you can see a little billy goat trail there...there is actually a "road" (barely seen, bottom left) that descends into that bend. I was driving the diesel Liberty that day, and only had touring tires on or i would have gone down (i wanted a picture of the rim , looking up) once i get new off road tires, I will return this fall and make the descent, and camp down there. another interesting fact about this pic...it is the bottom of an ocean from eons ago. which is interesting, because this area (Lytton / Lilloet) is several thousand METERS higher in elevation that Metro Vancouver (sea level). really makes you feel tiny. The day i took that photo I sat there for about three hours....just in awe at the scale.
a whole bunch of us Canucks entered our best photos and a lot got selected. The idea was to showcase to the world the amazing areas and different terrains/climes etc. I was pretty surprised i got selected. I cannot wait to do some repairs on the diesel Jeep and get back to that spot.
