Got any pics of the finished rifle all together?
Nope... just put the second coat of tru oil on it this morning, which I like but it's way too glossy. I'll have to cut it with steel wool or something to get the final matt finish I'm looking for.
Anyway, she's off to the smith tomorrow to get chopped to 16.5".
At 16.5 that will be awesome!!! Cut back the length of pull too?
No... not yet anyway.
First he buys a BLACK Ford 4x4, now he's BLACKING out a 30-30 Marlin
Next thing you know @Zeek will be drinking Coors light and hunting wild hogs
Who said I was a bad influence
But thats a brown knife sir.
Did you black yours out in the same way?
Actually it's an old model so it's not brown it's EBONY and it rides in a BLACK leather sheath
What about the rifle, was the stock black when you got it? Is it stained or coated with something?
I replaced the original furniture with composite, original is safely stored away.
