I plan on leaving Blade with a Winkler of some sort. Any counsel on which one?

My first thought would be the Belt knife, it’s a very good design and pretty quintessentially Winkler.

That's a largely personal decision, but I suppose it would depend on what you'd want it to do, primarily.

My advice? Handle as many as you can, and go with your gut.

I was planning on the belt knife, and either a Winkler or Hoffman axe. Im mainly going to use it to cut things. It also may be used to take up space in a drawer or safe like the rest of the knives I own.

The belt knife is a solid choice. Great all around blade.

I've been wanting a Winkler hawk for a while. The Ranger axe and Hammer combat axe, both with the half wrapped handles are the two that interest me most. Preferably with sculpted green micarta:cool:

The belt knife is hard to beat for the kind of activities you enjoy. Good wood’s knife or EDC. For a big knife, the Camp is my pick but is pricey.
The way the guys in the shop have been working, who knows what cool blades he will have on display there.

I'm hoping they have something cool at the show. Ive been wanting a Winkler for awhile. I want to hold a few and see what balances good in my hand.
