That blue green glass is my favorite. Ran across a few at an estate sale several years ago.

Those are old Coca cola bottles from the lake bottom, when the lake was dry the hogs rooted them up.

ya'll find that wild pig is super greasy/fatty? Had some boar a few nights ago, imported by a local wild meat company, and I swear you could have rendered about a liter of grease out of it, even after it was roasted and served.

didn't like the after effects of all that grease (the meat was great tasting though)

Is there a trick when roasting it to get rid of all the fat/grease? it was way too "juicy" with fat/grease, not like roasts i'm used to.

It's a matter of trimming it when skinning them, depends on what the plan is for the final product. Whole hog sausage I leave a good layer, if quartering for different cuts then I skin it lean removing most of the fat.
Yesterday I left most of the fat for whole hog sausage.

the piece i had, (about 3lbs before roasting) had no visible fat on the outside. Seared all sides, roasted it in the oven for an hour, and it was totally cooked right thru and then some....but still super greasy/fatty/drippy .....
